If it wasn't for this place, we would have
never known what existed in the area where we were based. A good friend and Berlin addict [Baroness
marrowfat Pea herself!] advised us to get down to the Schöneberg district and
to check Melitta out. We did, although I wasn't too keen on the area, the Café
has loads of magazines and a magazine called Ex berliner for 2Euros. Get it, it
will fill you in and give you some great pointers of what's on in this diverse,
amazing city.
The coffee at Melitta was ok, nothing to brag about. Too milky
for my liking. But having realised that all we had to do was ask for a Latte
Macchiato [double shot of expression in milk] I'm pretty sure that it would
have worked it's wonders on me that evening. I was told that the café was named
after the famous, beloved travesty star and is actually a really great place to
have breakfast. Check it out for yourselves, I'm sure you'll be able to add
your own spice to your visit.
